Good afternoon and Happy Fall to all of you chess enthusiasts out there in the Decorah area! This Wednesday (10/6/2021) at 6:30pm at Pulpit Rock Brewing Company, let’s have a mini tournament using 15 minute timers with a 3 second delay. The purpose is to have fun and learn something, as there will be no trophy for winning. The purpose is to get a “feel” for tournament play and a little more quicker thinking.
We’ll start with a few basic concepts and puzzles and then create a bracket with those of us that are there. Let’s make it double elimination so you can get at least two “tournament” games.
My plan is to record one of my games to write about it next weekend as the part 2 of my algebraic notation. Hope to see you there!
